Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 2026
DraftFort publishes tools and guides to help people create everyday business and personal documents. This page explains how our content is made and the standards we hold it to, so you can judge how much to rely on it.
How we create content
- Purpose-first. Each guide exists to answer a real question people have when using one of our tools — how to write an invoice, what goes on a pay stub, how confidentiality agreements work.
- Researched, then written. We research each topic against primary and authoritative sources (for example, tax authorities and official guidance) before writing.
- Reviewed before publishing. Articles are reviewed for accuracy and clarity by our editorial team before they go live.
- Named authorship. Every article shows its author, and each author has a profile page describing who they are.
Accuracy and updates
Rules, rates, and best practices change. We date every article and update it when the underlying facts change — the "Updated" date on an article reflects its most recent substantive review. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us via our contact page and we'll review it.
Not professional advice
Our guides and tools provide general information for convenience only. They are not legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your specific situation. For anything high-value, unusual, or legally binding, consult an appropriate professional before you rely on it.
Independence and how we're funded
DraftFort is funded by advertising, shown separately from our tools and content. Advertisers do not influence our guidance or which tools we build. Where we ever recommend a third-party product, we will say clearly if the link is a paid or affiliate arrangement.
Corrections
When we correct a material error, we update the article and its "Updated" date. We welcome corrections — get in touch.
