Useful multi-step PDF workflows

Download the result from one tool, check it, then open that copy in the next.

Turn scans into a tidy packet

Create a PDF from photos, put the pages in order, then reduce the final file for email or an upload limit.

  1. Image to PDF
  2. Organize
  3. Compress

Share only the pages needed

Extract the relevant pages, then send a smaller PDF or export JPG/PNG page images when a PDF is not accepted.

  1. Split
  2. Compress
  3. PDF to JPG
  4. PDF to PNG

Private processing has honest limits

Local processing removes the document-upload step, but it uses your device's memory and processor. Very large or image-heavy files may work better on a computer than a phone. Password-protected PDFs are not decrypted or bypassed.

PDF is a complex format. Basic pages usually retain their text and geometry in non-rasterising tools, but forms, bookmarks, attachments, layers, accessibility tags and digital signatures can change when a new PDF is written. Keep the original and review every downloaded copy.

A safer three-step habit

  1. Keep the source. DraftFort creates a new downloadable copy.
  2. Use the smallest workflow. Make only the changes you need.
  3. Open and verify. Check pages, text, links, forms and signatures before sharing.
