Analyze text without sending it to a server

Understand what each number means

Word and sentence boundaries use the browser's locale-aware segmentation engine when available. Character count uses user-perceived grapheme clusters, while UTF-8 bytes measure encoded storage size. Results can differ from another editor when its counting rules differ.

Text Compare aligns lines first, then highlights word-level changes inside paired lines. Its similarity result summarizes unchanged comparable characters; it is not plagiarism or semantic analysis. Keeping that workflow separate prevents the Word Counter from becoming an unfocused all-purpose editor.
