Still working with allowances or uncertain quantities? Start with the dedicated free estimate generator. Quoting a specific service job? Use the labor-and-materials example in our free job quote generator, then replace every sample description and amount with your own scope and pricing.
Choose a service-specific starting point
- Construction quote template — editable site preparation, labor, materials allowance and cleanup lines.
- Cleaning quote template — editable labor, rooms or areas, add-ons and supplies.
- Landscaping quote template — editable site preparation, materials, installation and green-waste lines.
Each preset uses fictional values and produces the same selectable-text PDF. If you enable Private draft, each preset keeps its optional browser draft separate. Choose the closest structure, then replace every example with the real scope and pricing.

Quotation vs estimate — which should you send?
Send a quotation when you know the exact scope and can commit to a fixed price — customers treat an accepted quotation as the agreed cost of the job. Send an estimate when the scope still has unknowns and the final price may reasonably change. Whichever you choose, always include a validity date and clear terms; this tool adds both by default.

Why a clean, text-based PDF matters
Many free quote tools export a flattened image inside a PDF. Those look blurry when printed and can’t be searched or copied. This generator produces a true vector PDF with real text, so your quote looks sharp on screen and on paper, and your customer can copy the numbers straight into their records.
Frequently asked questions
Is this quotation maker free?
Yes. Every feature is free with no sign-up, no account, and no watermark on your quote.
What's the difference between a quotation and an estimate?
A quotation commonly presents pricing for a defined scope, while an estimate signals that the amount may change as unknowns become clearer. Usage and legal effect vary, so explain what is fixed, what may change and how acceptance works. This tool creates either label.
Do you store my quote or customer data?
DraftFort does not receive or store it. Your quotation and PDF are created in your browser. Browser draft saving is off by default for new visitors. If you enable Private draft, it stays only in that browser until you disable saving, press Reset or clear site data.
Can my customer accept the quote by signing it?
Yes. Turn on the signature option and the PDF includes 'Accepted by' and 'Date' lines, so your customer can sign and return it as a simple written acceptance.
Can I set an expiry date on the quotation?
Yes — set a 'valid until' date so prices are locked only for a defined period. The default terms explain that prices may change after that date.
How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?
Once your customer accepts, open our free invoice generator, enter the same line items and amounts, and send the invoice. The two tools use the same layout, so your documents look consistent.
