Convert common image formats in one private batch

This converter changes JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP files without sending them to an image-processing server. Add one image or a batch, select one output format and download the finished files individually or together in a ZIP. Pixel dimensions stay the same; use the separate resizer when dimensions also need to change.

Format conversion is not automatically an “upgrade.” Each format solves a different problem. The best choice depends on whether you need compatibility, transparency, lossless pixels or smaller web files.

How to convert JPG, PNG or WebP

1. Add supported images. Choose up to 25 JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP files.
2. Select one output format. The same choice applies to the complete batch, which keeps bulk conversion predictable.
3. Choose quality for JPG or WebP. Higher settings retain more visual detail but normally create larger files. PNG does not use a lossy quality setting.
4. Convert locally. Your browser decodes and re-encodes each image one at a time to limit peak memory use.
5. Download. Save one result directly or all completed files in a ZIP.

Which output format should you choose?

PNG to JPG

PNG graphics can contain transparent pixels, while JPG cannot. DraftFort fills those areas with white before JPG encoding. Check logos and product cut-outs in the result so the new background suits their destination.

JPG to PNG

PNG output avoids adding further lossy compression, but it cannot reverse the loss from the original JPEG. A 200 KB JPG may become a much larger PNG without looking sharper. Convert because a workflow needs PNG, not because the extension sounds higher quality.

JPG or PNG to WebP

WebP is a useful web-delivery format because it can encode photos compactly and retain transparency from PNG sources. Quality still matters for lossy WebP. Keep original master images when you may need a different export later.

WebP to JPG or PNG

Choose JPG for a photo when compatibility matters. Choose PNG when you need to retain transparency or lossless output. A WebP containing transparency will get a white background in JPG, just like a transparent PNG.

What conversion preserves and removes

The converter preserves the decoded pixel dimensions and visible image. It does not copy EXIF, GPS, camera, copyright or other embedded metadata. Browser canvas re-encoding may also be inappropriate for specialist archival, evidence, medical-imaging, prepress or exact colour-managed workflows. Keep the source as the authoritative original in those situations.

GIF animation is not silently flattened, and unsupported HEIC, AVIF, SVG or GIF files are rejected instead of producing an unexpected result. Supporting a format in name only would be less useful than stating the real boundary.
