Build a printable and editable inventory list

This template records SKU, item name, category, quantity, unit, reorder level, condition and optional unit cost. The live summary shows total units, items at or below their reorder threshold and the entered inventory value.

Download the result as a clean selectable-text PDF for review or printing, or as an editable CSV for Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and compatible systems. Both files are built locally without uploading stock names, quantities or values.

Use consistent inventory identifiers

A SKU should identify one defined stock item or variant. Avoid using the same SKU for different sizes, colors, conditions or units. Keep the unit explicit—each, box, pack, kilogram, meter and liter are not interchangeable. If serial numbers, lots, expiry dates or locations must be controlled individually, use a system designed for that level of traceability.

Reorder level and low-stock count

DraftFort flags a row when the entered quantity is less than or equal to a positive reorder level. That is a simple operational signal, not a purchase recommendation. Lead time, demand variability, minimum order quantities, safety stock, shelf life and available budget may require a different threshold.

The Purchase Requisition Form can document an internal request after an authorized person decides replenishment is needed. It does not automatically copy, submit or purchase inventory.

Inventory value is an entered-cost calculation

The displayed value equals quantity multiplied by unit cost for every row. It does not choose FIFO, weighted average, standard cost, net realizable value, impairment, depreciation or tax treatment. Use the organization’s accounting system and professional advice for financial reporting.

Privacy and CSV safety

The form, PDF and CSV stay on your device. CSV is plain text and normally does not preserve formulas or formatting. When a CSV will be opened in spreadsheet software, review untrusted imported text before use; this generator writes the literal values entered into its own fields and does not import external files.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download the inventory list as a spreadsheet?

You can download an editable UTF-8 CSV that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and other spreadsheet tools, plus a printable selectable-text PDF.

Does the tool flag low stock?

Yes. An item is counted as low stock when its quantity is at or below a positive reorder level you entered. The tool does not place an order automatically.

How is inventory value calculated?

Each entered quantity is multiplied by its entered unit cost, and the row values are added. This is arithmetic, not an accounting valuation method.

Is inventory data uploaded?

No. PDF and CSV generation happen locally in your browser. Optional draft saving is off by default.
